3D Visualization

Photography for the Mind

If it can be imagined, it can be rendered economically as a photorealisic image. That is the power of 3D visualization.

There are many reasons to use 3D visualization in product or architectural development. Just consider these few:

  • Communicate design concepts with clients, such as in the proposal stage of a lucrative project
  • Prototype design ideas during early stages of engineering development
  • Develop marketing campaigns to increase sponsorship for products, even while still in the drawing board stage
  • Use as individual stand-alone images or animate for greater communication
  • One commissioned project can be adapted for print, internet or video/multimedia applications with minimal revision
  • Create educational materials without the limitations of photography

In fact, whether you are trying to communicate a concept to a client or prototyping a design idea, 3D visualization can save huge sums of money by spotting trouble areas during initial development steps. It's no wonder 3D visualization has become a standard way of doing business for architectural and engineering firms throughout the world in a very short span of time.

On this page I feature some samples of work I have done over the years. Some of it is from freelance and some is my own independent work. Why not contact me today to discuss how I can help your firm communicate your design?

Production Notes

Nieto House - Freelance Architectural Visualization - I was commissioned to do these initial 3D models for a 3D visualization firm in South Florida. As agreed, I created only the basic modeling of this 6,000 plus square-foot, three story residence in South Florida. The samples here include the front and rear of the dwelling, as well as the master bedroom and penthouse area (the third floor). These images show only simple texture mapping and lighting, since those steps were to be performed by other people in my client's firm.

Diner - Personal Project - One of my first projects done as a school assignment. It depicts the interior of a fictional diner.

Upscale Dining Room - Personal Project - Unfinished interior used as a personal experimental and educational vehicle. I still plan on inserting upscale furniture and personal items. Lighting and texture mapping is still yet to be completed, as well.

Cottage - Personal Project - Unfinished piece originally inspired by the works of Disney. This started as a school project but was never completed. I still plan on adding a lot more vegetation and mood lighting; may be animated, as well. I thought about including Disney-esque characters but that is still undecided.

Cafe Along Canal - Personal Project - Originally created as a school project. The original was made into a simple animation with the camera doing a fly-through along the canal and the water rippling.

Radio Guided Sentinel Lymph Node Surgery Images - Print and Internet Marketing - These four images were used to market the benefits of radio guided sentinel lymph node surgery for a medical firm in South Florida. I was commissioned by an art director who took my images and used them in print, the company's website and tradeshow material. These renderings show the lymph nodes throughout the body (full body and chest area images), a wand in a hand used in the procedure (as also stated in my 3D Graphics page) and cancer in the thyroid.

And, Finally...

Of course, the sky is the limit when it comes to the possible uses of 3D visualization. I would really love to be part of your next project. If I can be of service to you, please feel free to contact me.
