Television Bumpers
And, Now...
Bumpers seque one part of a television show or video production to another. The bumpers showcased above are from freelance and fulltime work I did as a broadcast graphics designer.
Production Notes
Please note that the short clips you see above are only part of each production and have no audio. Usually, music and other elements are added further in the production assembly line by either myself, editors or compositors. While each production is incomplete, enough is shown to demonstrate what I can do for you, especially as part of a team effort.
Site2Shop.com - A television shopping channel broadcast in small markets throughout the United States. Not only a show, Site2Shop operated a couple of retail shops in the South Florida area, as well as an e-commerce web site. Unfortunately, it is no longer in operation at this time.
Stewart Filmscreen Corporation - I was hired as a sub-contractor to a sub-contractor to produce five bumpers...in high-definition...for a promotional video showcasing a state-of-the-art HD projection solution.
The five bumpers are shown above. Four of them feature a first-person ride along a film strip, ending in front of a film screen. The editor then used my animation to insert introductory material in that film screen area. The editor also added audio. The fifth animation features an old-fashioned movie reel. I believe that went at the end of the video. www.stewartfilmscreen.com
Power Play - Television show about new and/or upcoming video games. The show featured the game products, as well as in-depth interviews with game creators and company management.
Power Play was one of my favorite projects because it was rich in broadcast graphics that I created. In fact, not only did I do the bumpers you see here (Game Time, Don't Touch That Dial, Stay Tuned), I also did the virtual set talent performed in, as well as most of the visual elements used in the show. You can see much of those broadcast graphics elements here, which includes the virtual set, a 'pod' the main character used to land back on the earth, the show's space ship (intentionally made to look like a video game controller) and a monitor (with greenscreen to key-in video). Unfortunately, I was unable to salvage much of my work from that show, but this is enough to show what I can do.
And, Finally...
As previously stated, the above clips are really only a small sampling of the many bumpers I have been involved with. I have a reputation of having a great creative eye and the ability to produce work on time and on budget.
I would really love to be part of your next project. If I can be of service to you, please feel free to contact me.
